One more added item - Someone had a question about my dimensions:

Boom = 30 inches meaning Cross Pieces are about 30 inches a part.

Cross Pieces = 24 Inches Across or 12 Inches from center

Hole Spacing from Center, but this did not seem critical:

12 in
11 in
10 in
9 in
8 in
7 in
6 in
5 in
4 in
3 in

Total Turns = 10

Hi There
my call is w3nrl - Nick
i started this project as well and had some weird findings. first i resonated the antenna at 7.050 and up around 15 feet test some cw puting out 75 watts.. no problem and no contact, this is going right to the radio not to the tuner.
Then i re-resonated to 7.250 for some ssb testing and again right the radio no tuner in line and i find that the power out dropped ( still at 75 watts) to 30watts. Did you have the same problem. Then i put my tuner ( pal Star)in line and tuned the the antenna to the radio and still got only 30 watts out.??? did you getthe smae results.
thank for listening

Hi Nick,

Sorry for my delayed reply. It sounds like a antenna mis-match. I was able to get the Antenna to match up fine. How are you measuring the 30 watts ?

I've read a lot of the comments on the TAK-tenna, however,
I haven't read any description of how the antenna
is set up and tuned. Can you e-mail me this information?
