I have had this antenna for several years and never put it up. Found it the other day and decided to give it a try. Although it is limited to 100watts, it is truly an amazing little antenna, especially for DX, as I have it installed about 70 degs off vertical. Getting 1 to 2 higher S units on both transmit and rec on DX stations. Sat up the other nite late, and worked several VK stations down under, and the reports from there were the same.

Was wondering if any of you have tried this antenna and what your results were?

Hi Alan,

Sounds interesting - I did some Web Searchs, but could not find any information. Can you provide some details on the design ? Maybe I'm missing something.

You can see more about the antenna at this website: www.parelectronics.com thats the folks who make it. Just got an email from them and the price today is $52.00

See my projects, as I am thinking about making 4 of my own design and co-phazing them, 2 E-W and 2 N-S switchable, so in effect I would have an electronic stearable 20M vertical beam. Should be an interesting experiment. I am building that, as the ParZ is only good for 100watts, tho I see he now has a 300w version, mine will be full legal limit.

Well I have figured out my matching coil and caps to build my own End-Fed 1/2wave antennas, that will handle full legal limit+. I've got the pvc, and I have the wire. Will have to find and order the silver mica caps, and I will start my antenna project. Should prove to be very interesting.

Hi,

I find it strange that it's called a "DIPOLE".

It's not a dipole not even close. It's an end fed wire.

I've got one for 30m. I got it in trade for some junk I traded. I would just say save your $50 and make a resonant dipole cheaper or buy a true dipole for $50 fron NI4L.
