Who all uses Anderson Powerpole connectors for their DC connections?
If you don't I would suggest you look into them. They are a simple design and many accessories are available that use them. I am amazed the new radios do not use them instead of the old Molex style connectors.
I have used power distribution fuse panels for several the use the Anderson Powerpole connectors, both in the shack and in the truck. They have the advantage of being filtered for RF, fused and polarity protected, plus the quick disconnect feature, just in case you tend to move stuff around once in a while.
For some of the stuff available, check out http://www.powerwerx.com/category.asp?CtgID=1001
and http://www.westmountainradio.com/RIGrunner.htm for some ideas. I use some DC distribution boxes made by Saratoga that are like the Rigrunner, but use smaller ATC fuses. Good stuff.
